Why this isn't just another feature
The most effective scams target the people least comfortable with technology — often parents or grandparents. Protecting your own phone doesn't protect them. Egidio Family lets you extend the same protection to the people you love, even if you're not next to them when the scam arrives.
How to invite a loved one
Two possible paths: at the end of your own setup, on the victory screen, tap Protect a loved one — or, anytime, open Settings → Egidio Family.
Send the invitation however you like (text, WhatsApp, etc.).
Your loved one installs Egidio on their own phone and follows the same guided journey: see Getting started with Egidio.
Guardian Mode
Maximum protection for a vulnerable loved one
"Egidio hangs up unknown suspicious calls on their behalf — without them having to decide." This is the most advanced option: instead of simply alerting, Egidio acts directly when a call carries high risk, for loved ones who struggle the most to spot a scam on their own.
Guardian Mode is turned on from Settings → Guardian Mode, on the phone of the loved one concerned (or remotely, depending on the Family setup).
