Reuse our content

Everything the Threat Laboratory publishes is free to reuse, without asking us for permission. This page sets out what you may take, how to credit it, and where to download it.

You may reproduce, translate, adapt and republish our text and figures — including commercially — provided you credit Egidio and include a link.

That is the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. No email to send, no approval to obtain, no reply to wait for.

The credit line, ready to copy

Replace the title and address with those of the page you are reusing. This is the format we use ourselves.

Attribution Egidio — The Threat Laboratory, "Page title", egidio.app/page-address/. Licensed CC BY 4.0.

Online, a clickable link to the original page satisfies the attribution requirement. In print, the address written out in full does the same job.

What is covered, and what is not

✓ Licensed CC BY 4.0

✗ Outside the licence

  • The Egidio name, logo and shield
  • Screenshots of the application
  • Third-party quotations and data, which remain the property of their original source
Worth stating plainly: illustrating an article about Egidio with our logo or an app screenshot is ordinary editorial use — that is permitted, and the files are supplied ready to use in the press kit. What the licence does not cover is using the brand to sign content that is not ours.

The figures, as raw data

A curated dataset of public statistics. Every row carries its primary source and the date it was checked, so you can verify it — or cite the original source rather than us.

Working on a story?

The press kit gathers the short and long descriptions, the verifiable figures, the app icon and a direct contact. The transparency page lets you independently check our privacy claims against the code.

For a question, a fact-check, or a figure we have not published: contact@egidio.app. We answer — but you do not need our answer in order to publish.
