Data Deletion — Egidio
1. No account, no personal data retained by us
The Egidio application, published by an individual enterprise registered in France, does not require any account creation and does not store any personally identifying data on any server. The content of your communications (calls, messaging apps) is analyzed exclusively on your device and is never transmitted. Therefore, there is no user account to which a deletion request could apply.
2. How to delete your data
All data generated by Egidio is stored locally, on your phone. You can delete it yourself, immediately, at any time:
Within the Egidio app → Settings → Clear all data
This action immediately and permanently deletes:
- All blocked calls
- All blocked messages in messaging apps (including their content)
- All decision logs
- All behavioral signals
- Engine calibration history
- Adversarial patterns history
Uninstalling the application produces the same effect: the entire local database is deleted by the Android system.
3. The Circle (Family mode) — the only data transmitted, and only if you enable it
The Circle lets you share your subscription with up to 4 people. This feature is optional: if you do not enable it, no data leaves your device for this purpose. If you do enable it, the app transmits to our servers, over HTTPS, only:
- The Google Play purchase token, to verify your subscription and manage family slots
- A random, resettable device ID, generated locally, to identify which device occupies which slot
Never transmitted: the content of your calls or messages, your contacts, your phone numbers, or any payment method (handled exclusively by Google Play Billing).
How to delete it: you can revoke a device's access to the Circle at any time from within the app, which removes its ID from our servers. Uninstalling the app erases the local ID. For any further request, write to privacy@egidio.app: we process every request within 30 days.
4. Anonymous usage statistics
The only data that leaves the device is anonymous, aggregated, and not linked to your identity usage statistics (event type, country, language, app version, subscription level, and a random installation ID). This collection can be disabled at any time in Settings → Privacy, and the ID can be reset from the same screen, breaking any link with previous measurement history.
Since this data is never associated with an identity, no individual deletion request is necessary or possible server-side: local disabling and resetting are sufficient to end it.
5. Retention periods
| Data | Duration |
|---|---|
| Blocking history (calls, messaging apps) | Until manual deletion by you |
| Anonymized risk scores | Maximum 30 days, automatic purge |
| Internal calibration history | Maximum 7 days, automatic purge |
| Adversarial patterns | Maximum 30 days, automatic purge |
| Circle data (purchase token, device ID) | Until you revoke it, or the subscription ends |
