Press kit
This page gathers what a journalist or writer needs to talk about Egidio accurately: short and long description, verifiable figures, app icon, direct contact. For full technical detail, see the tech sheet; for verifiable proof of the privacy claims, see the transparency repository.
Short description (one sentence)
Egidio is an Android app protecting against scams by phone call and messaging apps (183+ apps, including WhatsApp and Telegram), analyzing everything 100% on-device — no communication content is ever sent to a server.
Long description
Egidio correlates calls and messaging-app messages received minutes apart to recognize they belong to the same fraud attempt — where a plain call blocker only sees separate events. Blocking calls is free forever, with no ads and no account required. Messaging-app protection and cross-channel correlation are available in the Premium tier. The app's network architecture is published and independently verifiable on a public transparency repository (CC BY 4.0 license). Brand line: "Understanding the threat is what makes protection possible."
