Protecting both your SIM lines

There is nothing to configure: Egidio recognises both of your lines by itself. What varies is what it does with them, according to your plan.

The answer, without delay.

Free: your first line is protected as usual, the second is merely recorded. Premium: both lines are protected at the same level.

The three points that matter

AutomaticEgidio recognises both of your lines as soon as it is installed, with nothing required from you.
No settingThere is no option to enable — only your plan makes any difference.
Physical or eSIMNo distinction whatsoever: Android treats them identically, and so does Egidio.

What each plan genuinely covers

FreeYour first line (slot 0) is protected as usual. Calls received on the second line appear in your history, but they are neither analysed nor blocked.
PremiumBoth lines are protected at the same level — genuine analysis and blocking, whichever line the threat reaches.

A stated limit, not a lesser service

On the second line, on the free plan, a call is not analysed less thoroughly — it is not analysed at all. It is recorded, and no block or alert is ever triggered. We would rather set that out plainly than let anyone assume the protection is simply weaker there.

Checking the status of both lines

Go to Settings → Your Premium status. The dual-SIM entry there says clearly whether both lines are covered, or only the first. There is no need to guess.

eSIM and physical SIM, treated identically

Android draws no distinction between an eSIM and a physical SIM when managing your lines, and nor does Egidio. Whether your second line arrived on a plastic card or was downloaded from your network operator makes no difference to how Egidio handles it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to enable anything to protect my second line?

No. Egidio recognises both of your SIM lines, whether physical or eSIM, as soon as it is installed. There is no setting to enable — the only thing that makes a difference is your plan, free or Premium.

Why is my second line not protected on the free plan?

On the free plan, only your first line (slot 0) is genuinely analysed and blocked. Calls received on the second line appear in your history, but they are neither analysed nor blocked. This is a stated limit of the free plan, not a defect.

Where can I see whether both lines are covered?

Go to Settings → Your Premium status. The dual-SIM entry there says clearly whether both lines are covered, or only the first.

Are eSIMs treated differently from physical SIMs?

No. Android draws no distinction between an eSIM and a physical SIM when managing your lines, and nor does Egidio.
