How Egidio protects your two SIM lines

Nothing to set up: Egidio detects both your lines on its own. What changes is what it does with them, based on your tier.

The answer, right away.

Free: your first line is protected normally, the second is only logged. Premium: both lines are protected at the same level.

The three things to remember

AutomaticEgidio detects both your lines as soon as it's installed, with no action needed.
No settingThere's no toggle to flip — everything depends only on your tier.
Physical or eSIMNo difference: Android treats both identically, and so does Egidio.

What each tier actually protects

FreeYour first line (slot 0) is protected normally. Calls received on the second line are logged in your history, but not analyzed or blocked.
PremiumBoth lines are protected at the same level — real analysis and blocking, regardless of which line receives the threat.

Why it's not just "worse" on the free plan

On the second line, on the free plan, a call isn't just analyzed less well — it isn't analyzed at all. It gets logged, but no blocking or alert ever triggers. That's a real limitation of the free tier, not just a reduced level of protection.

Checking the status of both your lines

Open Settings → Your Premium status. The dual-SIM line there tells you clearly whether both lines are covered, or only the first one — no guessing needed.

Physical, eSIM: no difference in treatment

Android treats eSIM and physical SIM identically in its line management, and so does Egidio. If you're not sure whether your phone even has two lines, the check takes 30 seconds: does your phone have two SIMs? →

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to turn something on to protect my second line?

No. Egidio automatically detects both your SIM lines (physical or eSIM) as soon as it's installed. There's no setting to enable — the only lever is your tier, free or Premium.

Why isn't my second line protected on the free plan?

On the free plan, only your first line (slot 0) gets active blocking. Calls received on the second line are logged in your history, but not analyzed or blocked. That's a real limitation of the free tier, not a bug.

How do I check if both my lines are protected?

Open Settings → Your Premium status. The dual-SIM line there tells you clearly whether both lines are covered, or only the first one.

Is an eSIM treated differently from a physical SIM?

No. Android treats eSIM and physical SIM identically in its line management, and so does Egidio. Check if your phone has two SIMs →
