How to spot a WhatsApp scam
A single one of these signals should already put you on alert — several together, it's a scam:
- Urgency or secrecy: "quick", "don't tell anyone".
- An unknown or foreign number, or a relative with a "new number".
- A request for money, a verification code, or a link click.
- Too good to be true: easy gain, guaranteed return, a gift.
- A channel switch: you're pushed toward WhatsApp, Telegram or an external link.
