How Egidio protects your two SIM lines

There is nothing to set up: Egidio recognises both of your lines on its own. What changes is what it does with them, and that depends on your plan.

The answer, straight up.

Free: your first line is protected as normal, the second is only recorded. Premium: both lines are protected at the same level.

Three things worth knowing

AutomaticEgidio recognises both of your lines from the moment it is installed. Nothing for you to do.
No settingThere is no switch to flip — the only thing that changes anything is your plan.
Physical or eSIMNo difference at all: Android treats them alike, and so does Egidio.

What each plan actually covers

FreeYour first line (slot 0) is protected as normal. Calls received on the second line are recorded in your history, but they are neither analysed nor blocked.
PremiumBoth lines are protected at the same level — real analysis and real blocking, whichever line the threat arrives on.

A limit, not a weaker setting

On the second line, on the free plan, a call is not analysed less carefully — it is not analysed at all. It is recorded, and no block or alert ever fires. That is a stated limit of the free plan rather than a reduced level of protection, and we would rather say so plainly than let you assume otherwise.

Checking both of your lines

Open Settings → Your Premium status. The dual-SIM line there states plainly whether both lines are covered, or only the first one. No guesswork required.

eSIM and physical SIM, handled the same way

Android makes no distinction between an eSIM and a physical SIM when it manages your lines, and neither does Egidio. Whether your second line came on a plastic card or was downloaded from your carrier changes nothing about how Egidio handles it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to switch anything on to protect my second line?

No. Egidio recognises both of your SIM lines, physical or eSIM, from the moment it is installed. There is no setting to enable — the only thing that changes anything is your plan, free or Premium.

Why is my second line not protected on the free plan?

On the free plan, only your first line (slot 0) is actually analysed and blocked. Calls received on the second line are recorded in your history, but they are neither analysed nor blocked. That is a stated limit of the free plan, not a fault.

How do I check whether both lines are covered?

Open Settings → Your Premium status. The dual-SIM line there states plainly whether both lines are covered, or only the first one.

Is an eSIM handled differently from a physical SIM?

No. Android makes no distinction between an eSIM and a physical SIM when it manages your lines, and neither does Egidio.
